Original black-and-white group portrait photograph of Arden School faculty and staff members. 1953-1954. 8" x 5." Photograph is very clean and intact except for bumped corners and a few small wrinkles. A Very Good copy. This photograph shows thirty-four faculty and staff members from Arden School in Sacramento, California gathered for a group portrait. The faculty and staff appear to be posing on a stage. A small placard is placed on the floor that reads, "Arden School, 1953; 1954." The school was originally built in 1914 as Arden Elementary School that was for students from Grades 1-8. Arden School underwent several renovations over the years including the construction of the central wings in the 1950s and the addition of the east buildings in 1964. Beginning in 1965, the school became an intermediate school for Grades 7-8 only. The school is still open to this day as Arden Middle School at Watt Avenue and Arden Way.. Print.
